Packaged and Sold

If Barack Obama's candidacy manages to produce a high turnout in youth voters today, it will be because he was packaged and sold as a product, not because the youth understand his policies and what they will do to the future of this country.  Barack Obama became the Abercrombie candidate, the one all the kids wanted a piece of.  For example, just search "Obama" on the Urban Outfitters website and this is what comes up: http://search.urbanoutfitters.com/?q=obama.  Oddly when you do the same for "McCain" you get essentially the same products: http://search.urbanoutfitters.com/?all=u1&i=1&q=mccain&u1=q  This is just one example of the packaging and commericializing of the Obama brand. 

The youth are failing to understand the ramifications of the proposed policies of Barack Obama.  They have instead bought into a product line that was sold to them.
